Day 149

The Happy: Studying with Alyssa for my last exam ever
There's future roommate Alyssa, and then there's Italian Alyssa.  This one's Italian Alyssa, we met in Ital class.  She's also the girl that took me to see the nutty Mary Kay Lady who was convinced night-mites feast upon our mascara.  ?
You're great Lyss.
I was going to talk more about how great she is, but my laptop cursor is skipping all over the place, and I'm not up for the fight tonight.

Alyssa, faciamo un gioco!!!!

Wondering if my kids are going to look like the slimmest greasers on the planet?
The answer is yes.

The Happy: Family Sunday

My beauty babe sisters.  Love them all. Chris was there too.
We played outside with Savannah and gave her a ride on the Calle ball.  Such a pretty, pretty day.
Such favorite people.

Day 145

The Happy: Moved in with my girlfrands

I got kicked out of my apartment for an Honor Code violation.
Whatever, I don't even care.

Just kidding, the next girl moving in just needed to come a few days early - so I get to live with baby Savvy and Crystal for the next week!

Day 144

The Happy: Dinner with Alyzzard and Breck
Friday the 13th. Another one.

I also went to this guy's birthday party later that night, which was fun, and I had blueish frosting cake (I love blueish frosting cake) but the big moment of the night was when I was talking to one of the party animals about my major, which led to a philosophic moment that went something like zis:
You know when you do something a lot, and it annoys you about yourself every time, but you can't stop?
That's how I feel.
The words "I'm an English major" escape my lips so frequently that I can't help but to loathe my mouth every time it happens, because I fear people will think that I think that I'm so cool because of it (when in reality my intention is usually to bring to the attention of others how absurd it is when I make grammatical errors worthy of being beheaded, given what I spend all my time studying.  Like writing "its' " or "althoughs" as opposed to "all those."  I mean I'm talking REALLY big no-nos).
And I was kind of just like....yea.  I need to have something cooler about me that's not "My mom dated Pee-Wee Herman's brother," which is actually true FYI.

By the way, neither my major nor my Herman-dating mom is the coolest thing about me.  The coolest thing about me is that I can do the splits.

Day 143

The Happy: Sushi with Ash
Ashleigh J, you are the queen of my heart for ordering the octopus roll.  With the strap.
I made the mistake of ordering hand rolls.
For those who have yet to see a hand roll, here we have it:
Like are you serious?
Other than that, it was one of my favorite lunch dates.  I love ya girlfriend.

Also, I have Like A Boss stuck in my head.  Here is my take on Like A Boss.

Day 142

The Happy: CC & co. (Crowder-Cardon & Company)

 Visiting Emilee, Lacey, and Summer
Wednesday was spent discussing the non-breadwinning business Em and I are planning to start once her
dad figures out a way to make the idea's success rate a lot less pitiful.
Essentially, the friendship bracelets we painstakingly make will travel the universe.

15 Ways to tell if you're a legit friendship bracelet maker:
1. Electric blue is a go-to color.
2.  Seeing a massive box of at least 300 embroidery threads doesn't even phase you anymore.
3. The four most irritating words you'll ever hear are "can you teach me?"  You're so beyond teaching.
4.  When in the zone, little else matters.
5. Even if they're not your favorite colors, you remain very aware of how much black/white thread somebody else takes from you.  It's the same feeling as when one asks to "borrow" chocolate milk/expensive shaving cream.  Maybe I'm just bad at sharing.
6.  When preparing your selected threads to be cut, you use pre-set methods of measurement.  For instance, I know that from the grip of my left finger to my left arm pit + 2 inches is the perfect size for a 5 to 7 strander.  And to the right arm pit if making it for a boy.
7.  YOU LOVE WHEN BOYS ASK YOU TO MAKE THEM ONE.  Are you kidding me?  I'll make you five.
8.  Newbs call you "the queen" and you respond with an "oh, don't be silly" smile that translates in your head to "bless their souls, they don't even know the half of it."
9.  Insolent people.  You know the ones.... "I see you're slaving away at a friendship bracelet.  Can I have it?"  You only stare.  "I'm sorry, did you just ask if you could have one of my kidneys?"
10.  You love when you finally get to babysit a girl who's mature enough to not dare ask if she can have your masterpieces, and you suddenly become aware of her divine potential for this trade.
10 b.  ..she could be the next me...
11.  Sometimes the group of spectators gets so large that you think to yourself "Pshh...I'll show you amazing" and you whip out your armor of *freaky fast fingers* (the blurry ones you don't always use, because it is actually quite exhausting to do and more just for show) and the spectators' bodies melt, making one with the earth's mantle.  Success.
12. You practice *freaky fast fingers* on your own every couple of months, just to see if you've still got 'em.
13.  IT IS NOT ALL FUN AND GAMES, D*MMIT.  IT IS NOT!
14.  A friendship bracelet dies (breaks).  Reverence.  An ensuing burial.
15.  You know who Heather is.  This one's more of a respectable bonus.

Day 141

The Happy: I'm finishing my last paper EVER tonight (until September)
12:38 AM

How I Look

How I Feel

P.S. I walked to campus, half due to the nice weather, half due to a need to feel like I was the center of the universe while I swaggered my way to BYU, listening to Eye of the Tiger, and pretending like it was my theme music and that everyone at Brick Oven Pizza's crosswalk knew so.
But I figured hair boy would be here (see 3 posts below) because I always go to the library with him.  In fact, I was 100% banking on him to be my ride home.  And he's not here.  So I have to walk back home.  The reason this is a problem is because I've developed a perpetual fear of men that look like Rasputin in cartoon form reaching their arms out from underneath a sedan and grabbing my legs so they can drag me places.

Day 140

The Happy: I'm married today
It makes me feel more studious when I have finger bling on.  I don't know why.

Day 139

The Happy: CAFFEINE
I will drink and drink and drink it until I am done with school.  Then I'll stop, because I'm scared of what it will do to my offspring during gestation.
I don't like putting things into my body that I know aren't good for it.
Like vegetables.
Just kidding, I eat them sometimes.  Asparagus is my favorite.
I hate learning about Irish people.  They're all leprechauns to me.  Irish People. Leprechauns. Done.
I've been studying the same play about politics in Northern Ireland for the last 15 weeks.
Woe is me.  Woe is my paper.
My mom heavily disapproves of my caffeine "thing."
I do too, but I need good grades.

Day 138

The Happy: Bunny picnic in the park with the Easties
We hunted eggs like tributes at the cornucopia, basked like turtles in the sun, and downed pinterested treats.

Beecroft, I thought of a story to tell you after all, and it's even better than the public restroom one I told you on the grass.  Sometimes it takes me a day to remember all the material I have.

A Story for Blythe.
Once upon a time, a handsome young man with great hair kissed a girl named She.  She was pleasantly shocked.  She thought it was nice.  But still a shock.
And She ran through a million and two different questions that night, sorting through the batch, holding to the quality ones, tossing away the could-do-withouts, ultimately selecting none of them, and finally deciding "It is what it is, whatever that is, his thoughts are his, and his and his.  Just please don't be awkward after this."
Well, it wasn't awkward.  To his eternal credit, hair boy was a post-kissing talker.
Few things are more wasteful than the Kiss of Friendship Doom.
I ought to inform you that this is not a love story.  If you're looking for one, you've come to the wrong blog.
Now then.
She has dry skin, and She's lips always bear the brunt of the blow.  Of course they do.
Truth be told, She had little intention of kissing hair boy again; it was too risky, and he was She's favorite man-friend, or at least on the road to getting there.
But a broken barrier is hard to rebuild, and as they still saw each other from time to time, She felt she should at least be prepared.
"My lips are chapped, my chapstick's missing, and hair boy just called to grab some grub.  I need something, and I need something fast."  That's when She recalled cousin Zack's ingenious remedy for cracked lips, which involves poking a pin through the head of a Vitamin E gel capsule and applying the contents to one's mouth.  She remembered this because he got it all over the passenger side of her car one time, and either didn't realize or avoided telling her.  Anyways, She thought this was a method worth trying - her only problem was a lack of Vitamin E gel pills.  "Well, a gel capsule is a gel capsule is a gel capsule, and I have some Omega 3s.  I'll give those a try."  She poked a hole and rubbed the Omega 3 all over her lips...ALL over them suckers.  "Just in case he tries again."
And then a scent that can only be described as dead kitties baked with sauerkraut began to stain the air.
"Oh...my...gosh..."
Fact: fish oil is a notoriously great source of Omega 3.

The End.
